Making a Claim
It is most important that claims or incidents that could give rise to a claim are notified promptly, so that the appropriate action can be quickly implemented to ensure that all claims are considered on an equitable and prompt basis.
If an incident involves serious injury, significant financial loss or other major consequences, you should consider seeking legal advice before submitting information on-line. Legal counsel can then consider the application of legal privilege.
If you wish to advise us of an incident you may use our Incident Notification Form.
Insurance Manual
The VMIA Insurance Manual for 2008/09 includes a description of VMIA risk management and insurance services and advice on handling incidents and claims. Hardcopy insurance schedules and servicing and compliance plans are being separately mailed to each insured client.
Full policy wordings are available on this website and confirmations of cover are available from VMIA on request.
