Overview

In partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services, VMIA is supporting Health Service Boards to build their Risk Management capability to affect good governance.

As a Board Director, you play an important role in overseeing health care agencies to deliver positive outcomes for the community.

This program provides you with an opportunity to work with other Board Directors to develop your risk management capability to support your stewardship role.

Learning objectives

  • Define Board roles, responsibilities and obligations
  • Confirm key risk management elements for Boards
  • Apply risk management to corporate and business planning
  • Define risk culture, risk appetite and shared risks across government

Audience

This session is suited to Health Service Board Directors, including Board chairs and subcommittee chairs.
