Overview

Insurance is an important part of business and a way to lessen the financial impact of future events on your organisation. Government organisations are expected to proactively manage risk and ensure they have the right level of insurance in place.

This workshop aims to increase your confidence in managing VMIA insurance policies.

This is an interactive online workshop where you’ll be invited to engage in quizzes, polls and small group discussions. At times, you may be asked to switch on your camera and microphone to participate. To fully participate in this session, please log in via a laptop or desktop computer using Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari as your browser.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to:

  • identify VMIA insurance product features
  • raise an insurance claim
  • outline key phases of the annual insurance process
  • assess if your organisation’s risks are insurable
  • describe your main insurance responsibilities

Audience

This interactive workshop is designed for employees of Victorian Government organisations who have responsibilities to coordinate or manage their VMIA insurance policies.
