This is Miguel. Miguel manages the Carroway Coast Community Centre.
Boy, oh boy is Miguel organised. He's got a desk phone, stress ball, pen and paper.
Miguel was a real popular kid in high school.
So yes, he's organising everything, everything except personal accident cover for volunteers.
The thing is Miguel doesn't need to worry because the VMIA CSO Insurance Program covers volunteers,
if they're injured while volunteering for an eligible state-funded community service organisation.
Under the program, Miguel's volunteers can be reimbursed for: local transport to and from medical appointments,
medical expenses not covered by Medicare or private health insurance like physiotherapy or
medical aids and they could even receive support for domestic duties, bed confinement lifestyle modifications or loss of income.
Miguel you've got the wrong idea! I don't think that will happen to your volunteers.
It's just good to know that they're covered—if it does.
And Miguel might be worth considering a new way to deal with stress.
