Strategic planning is the process used by businesses to map out and measure the actions needed to deliver objectives. Risk management is a response to the effects of uncertainty on these same objectives.
So why are they often done separately, or not at all? This workshop looks at this question and uses critical thinking techniques to ponder the answers and prototype a solution that incorporates risk into strategic planning.
By the end of the workshop, you should be able to:
- Examine the expectations for strategic planning documented in the VGRMF
- Explore goal achievement and uncertainty
- Identify opportunities to incorporate risk into planning activities
This workshop is suited to managers and leaders from a range of public sector and community services organisations.
This module is a half day hands-on workshop to provide immersive activity-based learning and strong networking opportunities.
