Supporting a resilient Victoria through the Black Summer bushfires

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D3YPLRHM3o

In the last days of 2019, catastrophic bushfires broke out across Victoria, with more than 1.2 million hectares of land burnt and 200 homes lost. As the events of the Black Summer fires unfolded, VMIA assembled a multidisciplinary team to create a geo-spatial asset mapping tool to support our clients. We released an interim payment to Parks Victoria to assist with early clearing work, so that emergency services could quickly access burning and damaged areas to prevent further spread of fires. We continue to support our clients throughout the entire recovery phase. Their communities are depending on them during these very challenging days, and we are here to help them in their efforts to rebuild and restore some of the most cherished areas of regional Victoria.
