Overview

Risk appetite is the type and amount of risk that an organisation is prepared to accept or avoid. 

Clear risk appetite guidelines allow staff to confidently make decisions within agreed risk boundaries, encouraging flexibility and accountability. Setting and communicating risk appetite within the organisation also supports effective governance, strategy, culture and reporting.
