- 2 steps to protecting your organisation against a cyber attack
Victoria’s Chief Information Security Officer John O’Driscoll wants us to rethink our attitudes towards cyber risk, saying it takes more than technology to protect an organisation against cyber attacks.
“Preventing the harm caused by cyber threats requires building resilient teams, clear communication from leaders; simple and adaptable processes – both technical and business; and technology that’s effective, intuitive, reliable and resilient,” he said.
2 steps to protect your organisation
- Review the Cyber Maturity Benchmark insights from across government and share them with the people in your organisation who are key to managing your cyber risk. You’ll find this in the executive summary of your assessment report.
- Invite those same people to attend VMIA’s next Cyber Risk Foundations training session.
How are you building your cyber resilience? Share your tips and we’ll include your advice in our next edition of Future-proof.
